If you’re like most people, your Android phone is crammed with apps and games. But which ones are taking up the most space? To find out, we used an app called AppAnnie to measure how much space each app was using on our devices. We then ranked them according to how much space they were taking up. The results? Some of the most popular apps are also some of the biggest space hogs. Here are the top five offenders:

  1. Facebook: This app is by far the biggest user of space on our devices. It takes up more than 1GB of storage on average, and it’s been growing in popularity over the past few years. If you’re not using Facebook, you might want to consider deleting it to save some storage space.
  2. Instagram: Another social media app that’s notorious for taking up a lot of storage space is Instagram. It uses about 512MB of storage on average, which is about half of what Facebook uses! If you’re not using Instagram, you might want to delete it to save some storage space.
  3. Google Maps: Google Maps is another app that’s notorious for taking up a lot of storage space on our devices. It uses about 1GB of storage on average, which is more than any other app! If you’re not using Google Maps, you might want to delete it to save some storage space.
  4. WhatsApp: WhatsApp is another messaging app that’s notorious for taking up a lot of storage space on our devices… and it’s growing in popularity! It uses about 512MB of storage on average, which is about half of what Facebook uses! If you’re not using WhatsApp, you might want to delete it to save some storage space. ..

It’s easy to see which of your apps are using the most storage space right from the Google Play Store. To get started, open the Play Store and tap your profile icon in the search bar.

Next, select “Manage Apps & Device” from the menu.

Switch over to the “Manage” tab and you’ll see all the installed apps and games on your Android device.

By default, the apps will be ordered by recent updates. Tap “Recently Updated” and select “Size” instead.

The app list will now be ordered with the largest apps at the top. You can see the size of the app listed under the name.

From here it’s super easy to uninstall multiple apps at once. Simply check the box next to any app you want to remove, then tap the trash icon.

This is a great way to see which apps are hogging storage and free up space on your Android phone by getting rid of the ones you’re not using anymore.
