Microsoft Edge is a web browser that is built into Windows 10. It offers a number of features, such as the ability to save webpages for later reading, and the option to download files directly to your computer. However, one feature that may be bothersome is the Downloads menu pop-up. This pop-up appears when you right-click on a link and select “Save Link As.” The pop-up offers you the option to save the link as a file on your computer, or to open it in Microsoft Edge. If you want to disable the Downloads menu pop-up in Microsoft Edge, there are a few steps that you can take. First, open Microsoft Edge and go to the “Settings” menu. Next, click on “Advanced settings.” In the “Privacy & security” section of Advanced settings, click on “View advanced settings.” In the “Advanced settings” window that opens, under “Privacy,” click on “Downloads.” Under “Downloads,” uncheck the box next to “Enable downloads in Microsoft Edge.” Click OK to close the Advanced settings window. Now, when you right-click on a link and select “Save Link As,” Microsoft Edge will not offer you the option to save the link as a file on your computer or open it in Microsoft Edge. ..

When you download a file with Microsoft Edge, a download menu pops up and blocks part of your view of the browser window below. If you find this annoying, you can turn it off easily on PC or Mac. Here’s how

First, open the Edge app. In any Edge browser window, click the ellipses button (three dots) in the upper-right corner. In the menu that appears, select “Settings.”

When the Settings tab opens, click “Downloads” in the sidebar.

In Download settings, flip the switch beside “Show downloads menu when a download starts” into the off position (when it is no longer highlighted.)

After that, close the Settings tab. The next time you download a file, the Downloads pop-up menu will no longer appear.  Happy browsing!
